RackmountEquipment.com will soon release their new RC0111 chassis, which is the same 1U design as the RC0101 UltraCooled SuperServer but with 4 internal hard drives, a CD-ROM drive and a floppy drive and a total of 11 cooling fans.

Also in the testing phase is the new RC-0222 and RC-0232 2U chassis family. These are totally convertible, ultra-cooled super server platforms with over 7 removable hot plug hard drives. These chassis also have a CD-ROM drive and a floppy drive and offer many power supply options such as 2U, PS2 and hot-swappable dual redundant 250W, 300W and 400W units.

All of the new 2U chassis will come with 3 slot riser cards and will offer several selections of riser cards to choose from - 32-bit PCI, 64-bit PCI and Combo AGP/PCI.

Riser card options in the 1U chassis family include five options.

• 32-bit PCI, 64-bit PCI and AGP Type B cards
• 32-bit PCI and 64-bit PCI Type A cards

Type B riser cards occupy the sixth slot on the motherboard, counting from the left to the right when facing the front of the chassis. All cards plugged into the Type B riser cards will be parallel to the motherboard with its components facing down.

Type A riser cards occupy the first slot on the motherboard, counting from the left to the right when facing the front of the chassis. All cards plugged into the Type A riser cards will be parallel to the montherboard with their components facing up.

All these new chassis will be equipped with Rackmount Equipment.com's patent pending rotatable expansion slot brackets in order to mount Type A & B riser cards.
